6:25Starting the tasks
6:32Going to main website
6:50Very pretty website
7:05Task - find what programs are available for your particular field of interest.
7:18Clicks on Academics, then scrolls down to where it shows Majors, Minors and Programs.
7:35It is laid out really nice, and flows very well. And I like that it breaks things down so you can search by department.
8:01Task - find any minors under the program you are interested in.
8:14It actually breaks it down with the bachelor's degree into minors and certificates, so thats really interesting, I like that.
8:58Really like the way that the website breaks it down.
9:07Task - find the cost for attending the university online.
9:14Goes to main page, then clicks on Admissions, then Tuition and Aid
9:36I like the way that it’s got the breakdown of the map, for non-residents
10:06Task - restated the task asking for finding the cost for going to school virtually.
10:23Goes to the main page and uses the search field at the top.
10:26Let’s just try searching, because I like searching a whole lot.
12:00Finds PDF version of tuition breakdown by credit hour for virtual classes
12:20Task - applying for financial assistance
12:35Goes back to the Admissions page; then selects Scholarships; apply for Financial Aid
14:00So it gives you all the different links to apply for FAFSA, etc. It also provides general eligibility so you can see everything at a glance. I like that.
14:20Task - Applying for college
14:44Going to click on the big yellow button that says apply, that seems kind of fun. Click on application, then degree seeking, click on sign in. It is laid out really, really well. It's got like a big yellow button and I really like it. It's very easy to use.
15:30What is your overall impression of the website
15:40I really really like it. It's laid out very well. It's very eye-catching so it makes me want to look further. Um, it flows really well it's not all choppy and some websites are put together kind of weird but I like this one. It flows really well everything's very easy to find the important stuff. And the hyperlinks at the top so you know you know exactly what you're looking for. Overall I really really like it. Based on the website alone I would say that this is definitely a good school and that's important. I like it, it's nice, I'd be interested in looking more at it.
16:40Do you think that navigating this site was easy or hard for you to do
16:43I do and very easy. I really like the way that it's laid out. Everything was within one or two clicks of what I was looking on looking for
17:00Were there any ways that could be better accessed while you were completing these tasks?
17:05I don't think so, honestly overall it was a very nice experience. It genuinely flows very very well

2:50Going over the pre-test questionnaire
6:25Starting the tasks
6:32Going to main website
7:19Task - find what programs are available for your particular field of interest.
7:45First I would probably go to Academic, and it brings up a website about what Majors, Minors and Programs they have. They also have for online they have graduate programs. So I'll probably go to Majors, Minors and Programs. It looks like they have it from A through Z. And you could hit the search department, and it brings up a whole list of different things which pretty neat. I never even really took interest in really looking at other options besides what I normally was interested in. When you click the bar it brings that list down.

Let's go ahead and go with Applied Technology. We'll see what that's about. So it looks like and then you just hit the Applied Technology and it brings up like a little arrow so then I'm guessing you just click on that and it should take you there. But it looks like it's not taking me anywhere. It's like on the same page and it has it says search by Department. It says Applied Technology and oh here over on the right it says Applied Technology and it has like Technical Studies, Technology Leadership, Associates of Applied Science and Technology and Leadership and it says Learn More, and if you click that let's see what that does. Okay so here it looks like it brings up the information about that type of degree. It has some men working on a house and it looks like it gives a little bit of what is within this degree and what you could expect if you want this.

Also, what I like in this too is when you are looking at this degree on the right side it says about like the um academic programs. The faculty and staff and it has like careers in Applied Technology. And like student awards and scholarships which is really nice because the biggest thing about college is how to pay for it. So that's really nice that they offer scholarships and everything. And give you an idea of what career you could have at the end of this degree. Plus they also have Questions, We're Here For You and they give you a Contact Us, the phone number, the email, and even a Facebook page. I really like that and they also have a chat too which is nice. So yeah as I said it's pretty cool. And at the very bottom it has Apply Now, Schedule a Visit, Request Information. That's pretty cool too because I like that request information because even if you are not 100 sure if this is for you, they could send you more information about that or even the college itself. And help you kind of pinpoint where you want to be. And I know for my first college that was a huge help.
11:05Task - find any minors under the program you are interested in.
11:25Looks like so at the top there where it says academic programs I'm gonna try to click on that see if it gives me anything. It gives you a whole bunch of different things. It has a Bachelor of Science degree and Technology studies, it looks like that's on campus. It gives you a whole bunch of different things, kind of like engineering, construction, manufacturing and it also has a online campus. And it says about Associates in Applied Science and Technology and Leadership. It gives like Business Communication, Business training. They also have certificates and scholarships specifically to this degree, which that's pretty cool I like that. So it looks like at the very bottom and it says Majors, Minors and Programs, which I think that's the same thing I just clicked on. Yeah it's the same thing, so they have two areas that you could access it. That's pretty cool. And again how to reach us.
12:55Task - find the cost for attending the university online.
13:10Okay so at the main page if you're looking for one line I'm going to assume that you would go to the at the top. It says like About, Academic Admissions, Athletics International and Online. So I'll try to click Online. And it asks for your, oh that's pretty cool. They say like free transcript evaluation, that's pretty cool. Because if you're like me transcripts do not transfer, because mine was a different type of college. But it also says like you could select your program level. So let's just kind of see what it would do for Bachelors. And let's go to because it says what do you want to do with your Bachelors. Like what degree or whichever, so let me see if we can do. Oh actually, well let me go let me keep doing that. I'm just gonna click on something here. So I actually clicked on something with just like Bachelor of Science and Elementary Education and it did take me to a different thing and it was saying about like what it is and it tells you like how many credits. But I don't see anything about how much it costs. So if I hit the back button and I go to the same page where it said like select your program level.

If I scroll down some it looks like they have some information. Like they have tuition, so I'm going to try and click on that. And it does look like it brings you to a page and of course there's like Apply Now, Tuition, Financial Assistance, which again that's amazing. I know the cost itself and uh military students that's pretty cool that they have something for military. And it looks like they have the undergraduate and they have how much it is per credit. It goes all the way to the DNP. And it looks like admission fee with an undergraduate is $30. It gives a good bit of information that says like full tuition and fee schedule. I'm not seeing where I could see like what specific degree I'm looking at would cost. At least I didn't see it with the last one that I just kind of randomly selected at the time. But for the tuition for fall and summer is um showing right now for just in general. It doesn't say a specific degree or anything which would be a little nicer to find a different way to approach that with what degree you're actually looking for. Because it's a little hard I'm not right away finding it at least like if I took the time to really search it I'm sure I could find it. But it would be nice to actually just have it right off the bat.
16:45Task - applying for financial assistance
16:57Off the top of my head I am going to go ahead and say so we'll go ahead and hit, um, possibly Admissions. I'm gonna say and if you go to okay so it brings you to a page and it has Apply, Schedule a Visit, Tuition and Aid, and Student Viewbook. So I'm gonna try the Tuition and Aid and it says about cost of attendance per year. And it does look like if you scroll down you also have tuition too. If you scroll down to the bottom it says about the core costs and subjects to change without notice. You can contact Financial Aid. It looks like they have a link that could send you to what the student fiscal service tuition and fees page. Let me try to click on this Financial Aid thing here. So it does bring you to Financial Aid and it looks like yep Applying for Aid. So it gives you like a checklist. There's a free application, there's financial aid presentations and it has like the tuition costs and everything. So that seems like it has pretty much everything. It tells you that FAFSA is available right now. That seems like it's a good bit of information if you were really looking to see like what you could do to start getting, um access to the college and everything. Because it has a checklist which is nice.
14:20Task - Applying for college
19:20So I'm pretty sure this willmbe pretty easy because it has the word Apply at the very top where on the main page, which is that's nice too. I'm gonna go ahead and click on Apply and see what that's about. It looks like it brings you to Admissions application and it looks like they're saying you know we can't wait for you to join the Tiger family. Select an option below to begin your journey. You could do undergraduate which is d*egree seeking, non-degree seeking, International. And then they have graduate student and then graduate so I'm going to go ahead and click on degree seeking and see what that does. Okay so it looks like it takes you right to the Fort Hayes workday and it's telling us to sign in for first time user or there's returning users.
20:39What is your overall impression of the website
20:48Overall it's pretty good. It's one of the best that I have looked at, at least recently. I don't spend a lot of time looking at colleges online or anything like that. But in the future, possibly when I go for my next degree I will be doing more of that, but I it was pretty easy to find. It's just a little bit of you kind of have to know what you are looking for in a sense because I think I only struggled once, but it seemed pretty straightforward. And I feel pretty good about it. I don't feel stressed or freaking out or anything so I think it would it was pretty good
21:28Do you think that navigating this site was easy or hard for you to do
21:32I would say easy
21:35Were there any ways that could be better accessed while you were completing these tasks?
21:43Not anything that I could really think of off the top of my head. I mean if I was really if this was something that I was really into I would look a little further and dig a little bit deeper. I think they had everything pretty labeled out and everything. I like that they had to contact us with every single web page that you go to just in case you do struggle with something or you have a question you could chat with them or you know Facebook them or whichever the case may be. So I thought it was pretty pretty straightforward with everything and I didn't really have to guess on how to find things which I like that too. I like the straightforwardness, like don't keep me in the dark with everything especially if you want my money to go to school here.
